Rebrand Africa is an initiative of The Straight Up Company and aims at been the biggest platform for Startups in Africa in the next three years.

Rebrand Africa Summit is an annual one-day business summit that was first held on 24th May, 2014 in Lusaka. Rebrand Africa is a platform that aims at celebrating African business success stories to be told by different African entrepreneurs from different parts of the continent.

The event is targeted at young entrepreneurs, start-ups and young professionals (However not to the exclusion of the elderly who might find it relevant). We believe this group of people has great responsibility in changing the negative image that Africa is associated with. We believe that the number one thing that will change the world’s perception about Africa is its enterprise development. Therefore given Africa’s young population, exposing them to entrepreneurs who are making strides will be a huge motivation to them. We are targeting to have 400 delegates in attendance from within the Southern and Eastern African region. Last year’s event had a turnout of 300 young people and was graced by Zimbabwe’s Nigel Chanakira, South Africa’s Dr. Richard Maponya and Zambia’s Monica Musonda, Hanson
