Hello!
The month of May is all about celebration for us. We are still celebrating a decade of impactful innovation and entrepreneurial growth. We have been busy on our social media platforms telling the BongoHive story by showing you what BongoHive looked like then and how we have expanded over the past 10 years to include BongoHive Consult, The Hive Coworking Space and BongoHive Ventures. We have also shared some of the impactful projects that BongoHive Consult, our consulting arm has carried over the past few years. We continue to celebrate our achievements over the past years, follow us using the hashtag #BHTurns10 on our social media platforms.
To celebrate our entrepreneurship support efforts this week, we have a special giveaway for previous participants of BongoHive entrepreneurship programmes. Taking into consideration the hard times that have befallen many startups in our community due to the pandemic, we would like to know "What would 5K do for your business?" To take part, and stand a chance to win ZMK5,000 for your business, fill out this form and submit a 2-minute pitch with a business idea/existing business solution. The winner will be announced at the end of May. Additionally, the winner will also have the opportunity to have a one-on-one consultation with our Head of Entrepreneurship, Simunza Muyangana and our Startup Coach, Peter Nawa. Please note this opportunity is only for entrepreneurs that have been part of BongoHive Entrepreneurship programmes and are based in Zambia.
Episode 7 of the BongoHive Podcast is out this Friday. This week’s episode is focused on how small and growing businesses can explore and move into international markets. We spoke to ITC consultant, Ko Goma, who broke down what businesses should consider when going international. We also spoke to Martha Mbewe of Ubuchi Honey who shared insights on her business’s experience exporting honey out of Zambia.
Before you run off to catch up on previous episodes of the BongoHive Podcast, we would appreciate your feedback and suggestions as we continue to work on future seasons of our podcast - it will take less than 5 minutes of your time - click through to share your feedback.
That is all from us this week. Have a great week, and stay safe. |
