Lean Canvas

We use the Lean Canvas in place of a traditional business plan as the backbone to the entrepreneurship programmes that we run.  It helps startups quickly map out their idea and assumptions and works particularly well for those looking to transition from idea to business or have recently launched and are searching for market traction.

Accounting & Finance

Any startup wanting to survive needs to understand where they stand financially from the idea stage onward.  We use this simple spreadsheet with all of our startups in our Discover programme to help them understand their financial model.  As our startups progress, begin generating revenue, having to stock products or track their customers, they require a more robust solution which has resulted in our finance system.

User Experience

Once startups have completed the Lean Canvas, we encourage them to learn everything they can about their prospective users because no matter how hard you try, you will never be your user.  Our startups create personas and then user journeys which helps them understand how their users will interact with their product or service.

Pitching your Startup

Whether pitching your idea to investors or someone you meet on a bus, we get our startups to get comfortable selling their business to those around them.  We practice pitching both as a networking tool as well as to investors.
