This Friday, DITCh Plastic, will host a conference themed “Digital Innovation for a Circular Plastic Economy in Africa.” We are actively involved in The DITCh Plastic project which is aimed at utilising digital innovations to accelerate the transition to a circular plastic economy (CPE) in Africa. This international conference brings together interdisciplinary, multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder perspectives on challenges and opportunities for utilising digital innovations for the circular plastic economy in Africa. The 2021 Finnish Week of Business in Zambia hosted by the Embassy of Finland has started today and it will run until Wednesday 28th April. This year, specific focus will be given to the following sectors: Education. Sustainable Mining, Renewable Energy, Environment and Circular economy, ICT and Digitisation as well as Forestry and Agribusiness. We are delighted to be among the speakers during the session on Entrepreneurship and Digitalisation on Wednesday at 1 PM CAT. Companies from all sectors are welcome to join the online event. In part 2 of this workshop, we will dive deep into how to effectively build and manage the sales team. Specifically, we will build a model to ensure you have proper pipeline coverage and are assigning a realistic AE and SDR quota.  Applications for the Smart Cities Innovation Programme (SCIP) are now open. SCIP is a 6-month accelerator aimed at supporting high-potential tech start-ups from Rwanda and other African countries operating in the fields of Smart Mobility, Smart Housing and Fintech for Affordability
30 startups will benefit from individual mentoring, training as well as intensive networking and matchmaking with international business partners and investors.

Applications for the 2021 ZICTA ICT Innovation Programme are now open.
The ICT Innovation programme is an initiative under the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority that provides various technical and business development support services to ICT innovators, start-ups and entrepreneurs to develop their nascent tech-related innovative ideas into viable business ventures.
