Happy New Week!
With the number of daily Covid-19 cases still increasing in Zambia, we hope you are staying safe and keeping warm if you are in this half of the world.
Our staff are still working remotely, but our coworking space, The Hive Coworking, is operational. We are adhering to safety guidelines with reduced occupancy and regular cleaning. We have also introduced a NEW WEEKLY OFFER for our dedicated desks, to provide more options to our coworking community. More information about this offer is available here.
Our Standard Chartered Women in Technology participants are drawing closer to Demo Day, where they will pitch their business and stand a chance to be one of the 5 recipients of US$10,000. To guide them into building their tech businesses, last week they attended a Human Centred Design thinking session and also had an Industrial Talk with Cassandra Mtine of Afripredict and Muchu Kaingu of Lupiya.
This Friday, we go live with the last episode of Season 2 of the BongoHive Podcast. In Episode 10, we pick up on the previous episode where we talked about tech hubs. This week, we are discussing ‘The Value of Tech Hubs in Africa’, the role that tech hubs play in the growth of sustainable businesses and what tech hubs look like across the African continent. The episode which features Martin Labbe (UN ITC), CK Japheth (Innovation Village), and Aziz Sy (Impact Hub Dakar), is live this Friday, 25th June. Listen and subscribe here.
Have a great week, and stay safe.
