Here are our updates for this week:

We have partnered with Accelerated Growth for SMEs in Zambia (AGS) to conduct the LEVEL UP Accelerator Programme. This is the ICT cohort and it will run for 6 months. LEVEL UP includes tailored coaching and mentoring to make business investors ready. The programme is open to MSME tertiary education service providers based in Lusaka, Copperbelt and North-Western Provinces that provide technical skills training to learners in agribusiness, renewable energy, forestry, mining services, circular economy and the ICT sector. Applications for the BongoHive Fintech Challenge close THIS FRIDAY! For the second edition of the challenge, we are looking to work with early and growth-stage fintechs that are creating solutions that will bridge the inclusive finance gaps in the insurance sector. The fintechs should be addressing one or all of the following current challenges in the Zambian financial landscape: Digitisation of Insurance Systems; Education on Insurance; Inclusive Products for Women. We held the 2021 Boost Up Zambia Grand Finale on August 12, 2021
The Winner for this year's Boost Up Zambia is Hendrix BundaBunda of HENDRECYCLERS. The startup will represent Zambia at the 2021 Slush event in Finland. BOOST UP is a three-part startup support programme organised by the Connected Hubs network and the Southern Africa Innovation Support Programme (SAIS 2) in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia. BOOST UP targets startups that use technology to solve a societal challenge and are looking for skills that could help them pitch their businesses and become investment-ready.

Opportunities in our Community
The Technical Advisory Group with support from the Financial Sector Deepening Zambia will be conducting an online training programme on designing inclusive insurance products. The sessions will be conducted by AB consultants from Kenya.

AgriPredict is a startup that reduces the risks involved in farming using machine learning and artificial intelligence. These risks include plant and animal disease, pest infestations, droughts and other factors that can reduce farm yields.
