Hello!
We have been so busy this month closing off projects, as well as taking on new ones. Here is what is happening at the Hive:
Today, we begin Day 1 of the AGS LEVEL UP Bootcamp. LEVEL UP is an accelerator programme that includes tailored coaching and mentoring to make business investors ready. During the 5- day Bootcamp, we will conduct mentorship and coaching sessions for 20 medium and small scale enterprises (MSMES) on topics such as sales and marketing, human-centred designs, digital marketing, and business development. This is the ICT cohort where we are working with MSME tertiary education service providers that provide technical skills training to learners in agribusiness, renewable energy, forestry, mining services, circular economy and the ICT sector.
On Wednesday and Thursday this week, we will host the final event for the Future Challenges Initiative which we have been conducting in partnership with Demola and AGS. The Future Challenges Initiative brought together students from various tertiary institutions in Zambia to create future-proof solutions for challenges and opportunities that lie in the future. At the finale, the students will have the chance to present their findings and they will also network and interact with selected companies and representatives from AGS, Demola and BongoHive.
In partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), we are conducting business development training for innovators and startups who are developing prototypes into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). This is under the UNDP Accelerator Lab (AccLab) initiatives to test and scale new solutions to global challenges like climate change and soaring inequality. The Accelerator Lab aims to create the fastest learning network on development solutions by identifying and scaling up local solutions that will accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Agenda 2030.
