Hello there!

Can you believe this is the 400th issue of the Hive Newsletter? The newsletter has seen many changes design-wise over the years, but its focus remains the same - to be the source of news on all things BongoHive, and share opportunities for entrepreneurs in Zambia (and all over the world). Our business model has changed with the addition of other services, such that we recently introduced the monthly BongoHive Consult newsletter which is more of a B2B tech and innovation focused. We hope you're signed up for both of them.

If you are new here, welcome! And if you’re an old-timer, thanks for sticking with us.

SC Women in Tech
Last Sunday, we closed applications for the SC Women in Technology incubator programme. We received over 100 applications and we are enthusiastically working through them to shortlist the Top 40, who will go into the bootcamp. We will communicate with the shortlisted candidates next week. Wishing all the programme hopefuls the best of luck.

MTN MoMo Hackathon
It was a busy weekend for us and the MTN MoMo Hackathon participants. We spent the weekend over at Hive Coworking with the innovators practicing and presenting their pitches on the solutions they have created to integrate with the MoMo API. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners this Wednesday on BongoHive and MTN Zambia’s social media pages.

Hive Coworking
Speaking of Hive Coworking, our coworking space is now open! We have some private offices and dedicated workspaces available, as well as our meeting and event rooms - reach out to us for a tour of the space if you’d like to make The Hive your home.
