BongoHive Empowers Local Farmers Through ICRAF_Z4ABC Project

BongoHive is excited to announce the successful completion of impactful training sessions conducted through the ICRAF_Z4ABC project in Vizimumba Village, Nyimba, and Katete. Under the leadership of Project Coordinator Misozi Chisenga and Junior Associate Eliezer Lungu, our dedicated team engaged with local farmers to enhance their production techniques and unlock new market opportunities.

In Vizimumba Village, farmers participated in comprehensive business skills training, which included sessions on innovative bamboo and honey production techniques. Participants discovered how bamboo can serve as a sustainable income source, while modern beekeeping practices were explored to enhance both yield and quality. By the end of the training, farmers left equipped with actionable financial planning skills to bolster their enterprises.

Turning our attention to Katete, the training focused on pigeon peas and tomatoes. Farmers learned about strategic planning and market research, enabling them to maximize crop yields and effectively reach their target markets.

By the conclusion of these empowering sessions, participants developed tailored business plans and financial projections for their enterprises, paving the way for long-term success and sustainable growth.

BongoHive remains committed to leveraging its expertise to elevate local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)—with a specific focus on empowering youth and women—through capacity-building initiatives that foster commercially viable and sustainable businesses.
