BongoHive has launched the Green Recycling Enterprises Engaging in New Technology for a Circular Economy in Zambia (GreenTech4CE) Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator, a 12-month programme co-funded by the European Union, designed to support early-stage digital enterprises contributing to Zambia’s green and circular economy.
The programme will support 40 digital startups to further validate, build, and grow their digital solutions, from minimum viable product (MVP) to market expansion. High-performing startups will progress to an acceleration stage, with funding opportunities ranging from €2,500 to €25,000 available to support product development, market testing, and scaling activities.
The GreenTech4CE Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator will focus on digital enterprises operating in Copperbelt and Lusaka Provinces, ensuring inclusive participation across key regions of Zambia.
The programme addresses existing challenges within Zambia’s digital entrepreneurship ecosystem, where many early-stage ventures face constraints related to technical capacity, market validation, and access to business networks and finance. By strengthening digital enterprises aligned with green and circular economy principles, the initiative aims to contribute to sustainable economic growth and enterprise development.
The GreenTech4CE Digital Economy Incubator and Accelerator builds on BongoHive’s experience in delivering entrepreneurship and innovation support programmes and reflects a shared commitment with the European Union to promoting inclusive, sustainable, and impact-oriented digital enterprises in Zambia.
