Apply for the first round 2 day Ideation Session where we’ll help you initially explore entrepreneurship & your idea, or we’ll help match you with a team with an idea. The most successful participants will then be invited into the Discover Programme:
The 3 week Discover programme will help you explore the potential of a business idea by validating the market and testing all your assumptions. Discover will help you gain the knowledge you need to successfully launch your business, and save you time and money in the process.
We will help you in:
– Knowing your customer
– How to guarantee people will buy your solution
– Finding your unique place in the market (Unique Value Proposition)
– Assigning relevant marketing channels
– Validating your model with sound financial projections
– Understanding PACRA, ZRA & business banking
– How to create a compelling brand
– Creating a prototype & improving it
– Learning how to pitch to partners, investors, customers etc
By the end of Discover, you should feel confident you have a model that is guaranteed to make money and you should be ready to launch your business. We will also have a guest U.S. American entrepreneur spending time with you to provide insight & advice relevant to your sector. The 3 week programme will culminate in a Pitch Event where we’ll connect you with industry insider judges who will aid with feedback & connections.
The winner of the Pitch Event will receive $1000 seed investment into starting their business.
NB. The spend of prize funds will require consent from BongoHive to ensure wise choices are made for the growth of said business. There is no maximum or minimum number of founders per team however we prefer small teams over individuals as most successful startups have a few founders. The Discover pre-accelerator programme is open to men and women alike and we are strongly encouraging women to apply. Women are 49.59% of the world’s population so women should launch 49.59% of the startups.
