“How can people help those in need by doing what they love?”
The Apps4Good Hackathon aims to build re-usable open source mobile apps and platforms. Apps4Good harnesses the talent and passion of software developers, graphic designers, social media gurus, marketing experts etc. to give back to their community by building local solutions to local problems.
This round of hackathons will take place in four different cities: Saskatoon (Canada), Regina (Canada), Accra (Ghana) and Lusaka (Zambia) simultaneously with the same common goal to build re-usable open source apps for civic engagement.
This 2-day event will be held at BongoHive, on Saturday 20th October and Sunday 21st October starting at 8:00hrs and ending at 16:00hrs each day.
We’ll be “hacking a better Lusaka” ;).
