We restructured website content to provide small and medium scale farmers with information on conservation agricultural practices.
Amongst all the digital assets that exist, a website, together with its audience are the only asset that a company owns. This entails that web presence is the most important platform for a business. In this regard, creating a strong web presence with content that clearly communicates an organisation’s offerings to its target market is a gateway to marketing success.
This is how the BongoHive Consult team helped a client leverage online platforms to engage with its audience.
Challenge
We were approached by a client whose core business is to assist farmers to adopt conservation farming. They were looking for ways to communicate the organisation’s offerings through the website by providing relevant content which appeals to its local audience.
The client’s website was text-heavy and was not speaking to the various audiences that the organisation engages with. There was a need to restructure the content on the website to make it consumable and easy to access.
There was also a local context distance between the client and its international website maintenance team, hence the need for local services from an organisation with excellent technical understanding on websites, knowledge of the agriculture business and the local audience.
Additionally, the client wanted a more proactive approach to how they can engage with the audience on their online platforms.
Solution
In order to help the client effectively communicate its offerings to its target audience, BongoHive Consult’s first step was to redesign the client’s website by reorganising the content in a way that is easy to navigate.
The team also added analytics to allow the client to actively adapt the site based on usage data and further provided training on how to manage the site.
To address the client’s need to increase engagement on their online platforms, we intensified the client’s digital marketing techniques by creating a newsletter and content for their blog and also helped them streamline their social channels.
Impact
Since our intervention, the client has been able to measure the steady growth of visitors to their website through the analytics platforms.
Additionally, the client now sends out a quarterly newsletter that is filled with content that is useful to their target market. Since a website is a “living thing”, we have continued to provide on-going support and hope to grow with the organisation as it grows its online user base and social media engagement.
BongoHive Consult can help you package your digital content to make your business’ unique selling proposition stand out.
