What Happens Next

  1. Application Review & Selection
A rigorous evaluation process is underway to identify the top 20 most promising startups. Each application is being carefully assessed based on innovation, feasibility, and alignment with pressing challenges in Africa’s mining sector.
  2. Bootcamp
The successful 20 startups will advance to an intensive, four-week Bootcamp—partially hosted at the National Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research (NISIR) in Zambia. During the Bootcamp:
  • Prototype Refinement: Teams will fine-tune their Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and receive expert feedback from seasoned mentors.
  • Business Model Development: Workshops and masterclasses will help founders solidify their go-to-market strategies, refine financial models, and strengthen investor pitches.
  • Real-World Exposure
  1. Incubation & Acceleration
After the Bootcamp, up to 10 standout startups will transition into an eight-week Incubation phase. Guided by tailored mentorship and coaching sessions, these teams will sharpen their market-readiness and finalize their product offerings.
  2. Pitches
The programme will culminate in a Virtual Pitch event. This online showcase will connect startups with global investors, mining corporations, and development partners—opening doors for funding, partnerships, and real-world pilots.
  3. Post-Programme Support
To ensure startups can effectively deploy any grants and continue scaling, a three-month Post-Programme Monitoring phase will offer light-touch advisory and accountability support.
