The wait is over! After an amazing first cohort, the highly anticipated Robotix Institute X BongoHive Robotics and Programming Classes are BACK – and they’re bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before!

In the first cohort, held from September to December 2024, 42 young innovators ranging from 6 to 18 years old immersed themselves in the world of robotics, coding, and problem-solving. From designing obstacle-avoiding robots to developing games and websites, these budding tech enthusiasts proved that creativity and innovation know no age limits.

The program, which was divided into two age groups, introduced younger students (6-12 years old) to visual programming and basic robotics, while the older group (13-18 years old) dove deeper into Python and C++. One standout project was the creation of “Tessa,” an obstacle-avoidance robot that was programmed using TessaBlocks, a platform developed by Robotix Institute co-founder, Sumeet Ngosa Singh. In addition to robotics, participants had the chance to design their own video games and websites, culminating in a presentation to a panel of tech experts.

Instructor feedback from the first cohort was overwhelmingly positive: “The creativity and problem-solving skills demonstrated by the students were nothing short of inspiring. Watching them build, learn, and present their projects has been an unforgettable experience.”

With the success of the first cohort, Robotix Institute and BongoHive are thrilled to announce that the program will continue – and it’s only getting better. This time, there are more opportunities for hands-on learning, more advanced projects, and even more ways for young innovators to explore the cutting-edge world of tech.
