Code, Create, Innovate: Watching Zambia’s Young Tech Talent Grow at Robotix

I’ve watched their eyes light up as lines of code turn into moving robots. I’ve seen their hands shoot up to answer questions about AI and app design. And I’ve witnessed the quiet transformation of children who once doubted their abilities begin to flourish in a space that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

This is the magic of Robotix.

Now in its third edition, Robotix Cohort 3 has opened its doors once again, and with it, new possibilities for Zambia’s youngest innovators. Powered by Robotix Institute in partnership with BongoHive, this weekend program is doing more than just teaching kids how to code—it’s shaping the future of tech in Zambia.

Last cohort, 49 learners aged 6 to 18 dived into hands-on STEM learning:

36 explored Visual Robotics & Programming
13 advanced into Python Programming
They built with Tessa the Robot, coded their own video games and websites, created mobile apps, and developed remote-controlled cars. And for one learner, who faced challenges with traditional learning, visual programming became the key to unlocking a world of understanding and achievement. His story is just one of many that prove every child, with the right support, can thrive in tech.

What makes Robotix truly special is its blend of real-world learning with fun, safe, and inclusive experiences. From coding basics to entrepreneurship and digital creativity, the program is tailored for all levels—from curious beginners to budding developers.
