Angelika Huwiler is Founder and Managing Director of Foxdale Court Office Park and Chairperson of the Zambia Fashion Council.
Angelika has a BSc in Applied Business Management from Imperial College London and a Masters in Fashion Buying from Instituto Marangoni. She has previously worked at Prada and Erdem in London, and Edun in New York.
At the peak period of the construction of Foxdale Court Office Park, which spans 4,500sqm, Angelika managed a team of 150 staff. She currently has 42 staff employed. Angelika has a strong interest in environmental sustainability and Foxdale Court has been built as the first green commercial building in Lusaka, with a waste management system, energy efficient appliances and a rainwater harvesting system. Foxdale Court was completed in July 2013 and was officially opened by His Excellency, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda: the first President of the Republic of Zambia.
More recently, Angelika has setup the Zambia Fashion Council. The goal of the Zambia Fashion Council is to support, inspire, and stimulate activity within Zambian’s fashion industry, in order for fashion to be a significant contributor to the economy. The organization works closely with Zambia Fashion Week, it will soon be launching a fashion film screening project, it provides ongoing support to VALA, which is Zambian’s first concept store selling the best of Zambian designers collections and it arranges fashion networking events to encourage the exchange of ideas and contacts and to work towards creating a fashion eco-system in Zambia.
