With mentorship, a $10,000 grant, and a newfound network of fellow entrepreneurs, Dr. Besa launched her store’s e-commerce platform and its very first physical location in Lusaka. “The journey was tough, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without the SC_WiT program,” she says, and she’s not the only one who feels this way. Then there’s Esineya T. Chilumbu, a visionary entrepreneur who is revolutionizing the agricultural industry with her digital platform, Chiseko. After receiving a $10,000 grant and guidance from mentors in the SC_WiT program, Esineya is connecting Zambian farmers to crucial data that will change how crops are managed, marketed, and sold. “I’m determined to not just feed Zambia but the entire region,” she says. With her innovative tech solution, she’s on track to do just that. The SC_WiT program provided her the foundation to think bigger and push boundaries.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. Promaid Cleaning Service Ltd. is another shining example of how SC_WiT has empowered entrepreneurs to make real change in service industries. By connecting customers to nearby cleaners with a tap of a button, Promaid has created a seamless and efficient cleaning experience while providing fair, reliable employment opportunities to cleaners in the community. This venture is proof that innovation can happen in the most unexpected places, and SC_WiT has been there every step of the way.
