Hey there! 

My name is Faren Kudzai Sakupwanya, and I am the Digital Communications Intern at BongoHive. I’m a digital marketer and content creator based in Lusaka, Zambia, with a passion for creativity and bringing ideas to life in the media space.

As a Public Relations student with a background in media studies and marketing, I thrive on collaboration and love working with others to create compelling content that captures people’s attention and inspires them to take action. I consider myself a natural storyteller and enjoy exploring new ideas and finding innovative ways to communicate them through various media channels.

Despite being an extrovert, I also need a lot of alone time to recharge as being around people for too long can get draining for me sometimes. But I’m always energized by the opportunity to work with team members at BongoHive and contribute to its mission of driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Zambia.

I’m thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic and innovative organization, and I believe that technology has the power to transform communities. I’m excited to help BongoHive use digital communication to share its message and engage with stakeholders.

In my role as Digital Communications Intern, I work closely with my marketing and comms team lead in the management of BongoHive’s social media accounts, creating engaging content for the website, and supporting various marketing campaigns. I also help promote BongoHive’s programs and events and engage with our community of innovators and entrepreneurs.

In my free time, I enjoy poetry, music, and engaging in a good number of volunteer projects as much as I can.

My interest in creative fields and finding new ways to express myself led me to pursue a career in digital marketing and communications. I enjoy the challenge of creating engaging content that resonates with audiences and helps to build brand awareness.

I hope to use my skills and creativity to create compelling content that resonates with our community of innovators and entrepreneurs and to help showcase the impact that BongoHive has on Zambia’s tech and innovation ecosystem.

I’m excited to learn as much as I can from the team and the community and contribute to the continued growth and success of BongoHive.
