BongoHive and Cavendish University Zambia sign MOU

BongoHive and Cavendish University Zambia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Cavendish University.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed on Tuesday 9th August 2022, is to establish a formal working relationship between Cavendish University Zambia and BongoHive with an aim to create platforms and opportunities for students and graduates to engage in entrepreneurship and innovation activities during or after university training. 

Speaking at the event, Cavendish University Zambia Executive Director Reginald Rainey said it was the University’s hope to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship in their curriculum.

“This collaboration creates a huge opportunity for our students and we look forward to getting to work. This MOU stands as the beginning for that process for Cavendish.” He said.

And BongoHive Executive Director, Lukonga Lindunda expressed excitement at the partnership and the change that it would bring.

He highlighted that BongoHive’s work is focused on supporting entrepreneurship and innovation with a point to partner with institutions that help to achieve that goal while leading to a greater good.

“This is a great opportunity for us and we look forward to infusing our work through this collaboration with an aim to further improve the students’ capabilities in the marketplace.” He noted.

Present at the MOU signing was Cavendish University Director Distance Learning and Head Strategic Partnerships, Derrick Mwape, BongoHive Communications and Marketing Lead, Mareta Lindunda and members of the press. 

Cavendish University Zambia is a private institution with over 4000 students established in 2004. The institution offers Bachelor’s Degree, Masters and PHD programs ranging from Business, Economics, Communication and Health.

BongoHive looks forward to engaging in more partnerships with stakeholders both in the private and public sector in order to create platforms where great minds can build viable solutions that not only change communities but the world at large.
