The Standard Chartered Women in Tech Zambia Cohort 6 Bootcamp is officially underway, bringing together the programme’s Top 20 entrepreneurs for an intensive learning experience designed to strengthen their ventures and accelerate their growth journeys.

Over the past two sessions, participants have explored the critical foundations of customer-centred innovation through Customer Discovery and User Journey Mapping. These sessions challenged founders to move beyond assumptions and gain a deeper understanding of the people they are building for. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, entrepreneurs examined customer personas, validated assumptions, identified pain points, and mapped real-life customer experiences to uncover opportunities for innovation and value creation.

By placing customers at the centre of the design process, participants gained valuable insights into how to build products and services that address genuine needs while creating meaningful impact.

Today, the bootcamp shifts its focus to translating customer insights into sustainable business models through a session titled How to Use Your Customer Data & Foundational Business 101: Lean Model Canvas.

The session is designed to help founders understand how customer knowledge can inform key business decisions, from product development and pricing strategies to customer acquisition and growth planning. Participants will also explore the concept of product-market fit and learn how to demonstrate that their solutions effectively address validated market needs.

In addition, entrepreneurs will be introduced to the Lean Model Canvas, a practical framework that brings together the core components of a business on a single page. Through this exercise, participants will examine essential elements such as customer segments, value propositions, revenue streams, channels, and key activities, helping them build stronger foundations for growth and sustainability.

The Women in Tech Zambia Bootcamp continues to equip founders with the tools, frameworks, and confidence needed to build evidence-based businesses that respond to real customer challenges. As the programme progresses, the entrepreneurs will continue refining their ideas, testing assumptions, and strengthening their ventures for long-term success.

We look forward to seeing these remarkable women transform innovative ideas into scalable businesses that create lasting impact across Zambia and beyond.
